Wine and Roses, An InterGALActic Experience
Saturday, November 2, 2024
4 pm to 7 pm on the campus of Flintridge Sacred Heart Academy
Dear Supporters and Friends of the La Cañada Flintridge Tournament of Roses Association,
LCFTRA is kicking-off its annual campaign to raise funds for our entry in the 136th Rose Parade on January 1st. 2025. Our annual gala fundraiser, Wine and Roses, is our most important “fun” and fundraiser of the year. We cordially invite you and your friends to a unique evening on November 2. Our gala has a new look this year, with exhibits from our community partners at Mt. Wilson Observatory, Cal Tech, and more. Our 2025 float is a fun, wacky spin off of the Mars Rover and the quirky creatures who welcome our astronaut and Martian to the red planet! We are working with scientific partners to engage the community in our float design. We will be serenaded by the internationally acclaimed All American Boys Chorus of Costa Mesa (taabc.org), and have a spirited live auction of experiences you cannot pass up! All of this plus an amazing view and culinary delights from the chefs of Flintridge Sacred Heart Academy.
Due to the high cost of building floats, there are only 6 self-built floats left in the parade. We are 100% financed through voluntary donations from individuals and businesses. While most of our donations come from the residents of La Cañada Flintridge California, we have supporters throughout California and a number out of state.
We work to reach out to mentor youth and teach building and teamwork skills. We have no paid employees and all of our labor is donated as well. We need your help to remain one of the few remaining non-commercial floats dedicated purely to educate and entertain.
The goal of our campaign is $90,000 and we would love to have you join our team at whatever financial level that is right for you. You can help by attending our gala event (ticket sales available on our website after July 1), and/or becoming a gala sponsor.
