Wine and Roses, An Electric Evening

Dear Supporters and Friends of the La Cañada Flintridge Tournament of Roses Association,
The La Cañada Flintridge Tournament of Roses Association is kicking off our annual campaign to raise funds for our entry in the 138th Rose Parade on January 1st. 2027. Our annual gala fundraiser, Wine & Roses, is our most important fundraiser of the year. We cordially invite you and your friends to a unique evening of fun and food.
Due to the high cost of building floats, there are only 6 self-built floats in the Rose Parade. We are 100% financed through voluntary donations from individuals and businesses. While most of our donations come from the residents of La Cañada Flintridge, California, we have supporters throughout California as well as from out of state.
Our Association works to reach out to mentor youth and teach building and teamwork skills. We have no paid employees and all of our labor is donated. We need your help to remain one of the few remaining non-commercial floats dedicated purely to educate and entertain.
The gala honors our float theme, “EVeryone is EVited” which celebrates the Parade’s very first all-electric float entry in decades! It depicts a science fair where adorable critters from each of the world’s continents perform a variety of classic projects, with the main feature being a lion atop a Tesla coil which rises with every increase in applause by onlookers. Our satellite vehicle is the time-honored volcano where a toucan and eagle combine chemicals to simulate an eruption.
This special evening will be held at the La Cañada Flintridge Country Club, with a gorgeous view of the surrounding area and a catered dinner by the Club’s own chefs. The evening will feature entertainment, silent and live auctions, as well as some special guests.
The goal of this year’s campaign is $90,000, and we would love to have you participate at whatever financial level that is right for you. You can help by attending our gala event (ticket sales available on our website after August 14th at lcftra.org), and/or becoming a gala sponsor.
Sponsorship levels are as follows:
$250 Copper Mum: Sponsor receives 1 ticket to the gala.
$500 Bronze Orchid: Sponsor receives 2 tickets to the gala.
$1,000 Silver Tulip: Sponsor receives 4 tickets to the gala.
$2,500 Gold Daffodil: Sponsor receives 4 tickets to the gala.
$5,000 Platinum Rose: Sponsor receives 6 tickets to the gala and a private table with premium wine.
All donors and sponsors receive publicity in the Gala Auction program and in our public materials-LCFTRA.org website, as well as an invitation to attend our “Under the Bridge” annual donor party in late December.
